Google and Random House Considering Book Search Partnership

The program’s proven ability to boost book sales of back-listed titles resulted in Random House engaging in “periodic constructive conversations with Google on issues of mutua

It’s interesting watching newer business models mature. It doesn’t seem to matter what the product is, the results are similar. Something new comes along. The established players gang up and kick at it for awhile. If it’s still standing when they’re done, then, "Oh, maybe it’s worth getting on board after all."

I’m really glad that Google is such a juggernaut. If not, what would we have lost out on already?
