Google removes thousands of malware sites – Download Squad

On Monday, Sunbelt Software’s security blog revealed that thousands of malware redirects were showing up in search engine results.

This is rather big news and I’m glad Google handled this well. Apparently, they removed some 40,000 suspect links. This really brings home how important it is to have security controls that are up to date, or better yet, surf the web through something like Sandboxie. (You know, with how often I recommend them, if Sandboxie weren’t free, I ask for a commission!)

According to the article, the most popular terms leading to suspect links were "infinity" and "hospice". "Infinity" and "hospice"?! Anyone else confused by that??
